    • Clearly you are a cat person! :-) We just went to look at puppies yesterday so I’m sure those quotes will apply to me soon if I substitute in the word dogs. And Didion’s quote is a classic. I have that written in a journal somewhere. The other two? It says everything about who they were, and why they will always be remembered. Thanks for dropping your five on us Tina! Hope you have a great weekend.

    • Wow, Elizabeth, these are great. I especially like the 7-year old wisdom: “When life becomes unfair, just change the rules!” Thanks for sharing this fabulous and eclectic bunch!

  5. What fun! (not a quote) . . .

    ‘I dwell in possibility. . . .’ Emily Dickinson

    ‘ET phone home’

    • Deborah, I knew you would have some beauties. There is no better approach to life than dwelling is possibility!

ET phone home! Somehow I see that related to your blog post about technology and the connection you and your daughter have with your iPhones. :-)

  6. Sorry this isn’t as profound as some others, but it really is true! “I was grateful to be able to answer promptly and I did. I said I didn’t know.” — Mark Twain

    • David, so great to see you here commenting for your first time! I love this quote, and actually it is profound in its own simple way. I wish more people would just say, “I don’t know,” when they don’t know. Thanks for dropping in and sharing your two cents. Have a great weekend.

  7. “Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; for it becomes your destiny.”

    • Ha ha. The Oscar Wilde quote is a classic. And the Longfellow quote has me imagining you tango-ing into the night. Great stuff.

“Live with no regrets” and “Don’t die wondering” also top my favorite quotes–kind of similar in tone to your first one. Thanks for dropping a few of your favorites on us. Happy Friday!
