Anybody out There?

Yesterday The Art of an Improbable Life made the switch from WordPress.com to its own hosted site, and it appears that in the process all of my followers may have disappeared. Yikes!

I’m hoping you can help me figure this out. If you automatically received this post today, would you be so kind as to leave me a comment and let me know? I truly appreciate your support! Crossing fingers and toes you’re all still out there!

    • Thank you Cristina! I’m still working out some kinks, but for the most part all is well. Thanks for stopping by, and thanks for your good wishes about the book.

    • Thanks, Monica. So glad you’re still along for the ride! I switched for a variety of reasons. One reason is that I didn’t want random ads on my blog–especially since I didn’t endorse them or get paid for them. WordPress.com does that so it can remain a free service for all of us to use.

I’m also thinking about down the road in terms of what I may want to do with my author website–something I’m starting to design. WordPress.com (as opposed to WordPress.org) has some restrictions and I wanted to keep all of my options open as ideas percolate.

      • Oh, interesting. That makes sense, then. I don’t know how to design my own, and I haven’t really seen the ads on my site yet, but now I’ll keep an eye out. Would love to know how it goes for you. Glad you didn’t lose your subscribers and were able to “take us” with you!

PS: Hope you didn’t lose your subscribers :)

    • Thanks, Claudia. I haven’t posted since last Friday because of the transfer. It looks like it is all going to work out just fine. Thank goodness!

    • Wonderful! Hey, and I saw you left a message on Harper Faulkner’s blog the other day. I’m glad you found his site. I love his writing and his humor.

  2. Hey – it’s your neighbor Beth, and I’m still here! Your notification came up on Google Reader too, in case you want to know. :-)

    • Thanks, Bob! Jeffrey is immersed in his art project at the moment, but when he comes up for air, I’ll make sure he knows you say hello.
